Engage Noble Leadership Academy
Thrive Noble County Steering Committee members who attended the Global Leadership Summit at the Community Learning Center in Kendallville in 2022 came away from the two-day event inspired to strengthen leadership in Noble County. They revisited the 20 Clues to Rural Community Survival and chose to develop a new Servant Leadership program aimed at helping Noble County achieve a “Deliberate Transition of Power to a Younger Generation of Leaders” and a “Celebration of Diversity in Leadership.”
Engage Noble features a series of eight full-day learning seminars during which students convene at various locations across Noble County. They are introduced to all sectors of the local economy as they engage in facilitated panel discussions with local public servants and leaders who are experts in local services related to healthcare, recreation, tourism, commerce, employment, education, spirituality, and more. Opportunities to share their voices and engage in decision-making are highlighted throughout. In addition, the core philosophies, principles, and values of Servant Leadership are presented. Additional sessions include asset-based community development and networking.

The first cohort of Engage Noble, that graduated in April 2024, has provided evidence of the program’s success. Alumni surveyed one year after graduating cited improved skills including communications, Servant Leadership principles, public speaking, listening, and greater courage and confidence. Eight graduates accepted new committee and board positions within the community. Five reported further advancements in their education. Four enjoyed professional career advancements - all within the first year after graduating from the program!

NoblePalooza, an Expo to Thrive

NoblePalooza is a free community celebration first hosted in 2022. This annual expo, held at the Community Learning Center in Kendallville on the second Saturday in March, is the first event of its kind in Noble County. NoblePalooza brings together hundreds of individuals, businesses, and organizations who operated in or serve Noble County's communities to learn about one another, recognize successes, and discover new opportunities to thrive and prosper.
Exhibitors, vendors, and other participants, each representing efforts that fit under one or more of the 5 Pillars of Thrive, are showcased. Over 100 booths, a small business marketplace, and more than a dozen teen entrepreneurs welcomed more than 700 visitors to the event in March 2025.

Anyone who contributes to the creation and sustainability of a prosperous Noble County community is encouraged to participate!
